Hi! I'm Vesa. I found my way into photography almost by accident, tagging along as Niclas's assistant on our very first wedding job. I took a few photos on the side that day, mostly just to have something to do, and fell completely in love with it.
There's something genuinely strange and wonderful about a good photograph, freezing a feeling, a moment, into something you can hold onto forever. Once I noticed that, I couldn't really stop.
Since then, I've photographed over 100 weddings, and I've learned that the best pictures almost never happen when people are posing for them.
The vision.
The most important thing to me isn't the photos. It's whether you feel completely comfortable with me there.
I work hard for that, and after all these weddings, I think experience is what actually gets you there. I love getting to know a couple properly, from the nervous morning prep all the way to the last song at midnight, that's genuinely one of my favorite parts of this job.
My style sits somewhere between documentary and gentle direction, I'll guide you toward the real moment when it matters, but most of what I'm chasing can't be staged. You'll usually find me out on the dance floor with your guests too, because some of the best photos only happen if you're actually part of the party, not standing on the side watching it.
I edit every photo to be timeless. Not trendy, just true, so it looks just as good on your wedding day as it will on your diamond anniversary.
The best feedback I ever get isn't about the pictures at all. It's when a couple tells me, before they've even left their own wedding, how comfortable they felt with me all day. Being told they're happy before they've seen a single photo, that's everything to me.
